It would have been useful to have heated and shltered bus stops in District 9 before spending all the money on the BRT that has given Madison riders a bad return on investment with low ridership and a bad case of scabies. It is this type of thinking that continues to plague the bad decisions being made by the current alderman and common council. Who wants to wait outside in subzero temperatures to get to the transfer point where heated open air shelters still manage to chill you to the bone? Poor planning, poor leadership but hey, we can spend a quarter of a million dollars to send a few people to Milwaukee for real estate training. Don't we have enough housing already?
Mayor promotes crime without consequences
Shouldn't we expect consequences when anyone commits a crime? I support the following: Mandatory community service with a minimum of 10 hours for all offenders, mandatory financial restitution by parents, guardian, or family for any physical damages to personal property, in full, and funding for local, onsite challenge academy style programs.
